We visited Krakow for a long weekend and had a brilliant time.
Lots of walking to see the sights and sounds of the city.
We trawled the web for options of tours to see both Auschwitz Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mines. We decided upon Pro tours Cracow because their prices were better than most, had good review, a professional looking website and were very prompt and professional in their response to queries before booking.
We were not disappointed. I would highly recommend Pro tours Cracow!
We opted for the one day tour of both places and had a very memorable day (for good reasons)
Auschwitz is a very somber but very interesting place to visit and one that people should vist if possible, if visiting is not possible then people should learn about this place and the others like it.
The Salt mines (after Auschwitz) were excellent, thankfully more cheerful so it perked us up. Paul recommended a restaurant across from the Salt mines which was delicious and not very expensive.
Whilst it is possible to save money visiting these sites under your own steam, it would definitely require two days if not with a guide.
Protours - professional, friendly, prompt, educated and helpful! Highly recommended.

I visited the museum with Pro Tours Cracow this past summer and was absolutely amazed by it. There was so much detail and so much history, it was one of the most memorable museum experiences I've ever had

We booked Paul unseen from his website to do transfers from Krakow airport to our hotel in the city in July 2010. He was very friendly and efficient, and luckily for us had very good English. The vehicle was spacious and well presented. We decided once there to book some extra tours with him and went to the salt mine and also to Zakopane. He helped us considerably be recommending a good restaurant and also the best things to do once there. On the return transfer to the airport we had a different driver but he was just as good. I would thoroughly recommend Paul and his Pro Tours Cracow company.

Paul was wonderful when we took our trip to Krakow. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay extraordinary. We highly recommend ProtoursCracow, and especially Paul!

We visited Krakow in February 2009. I found Paul's site on the Internet and his prices were very competitive. I booked a trip for our party of 6 to Auschwitz & Birkenau. His time keeping was great and we spent virtually the whole day visiting both sites.
We were the first people to Birkeneau, it was a very moving experience, especially as there was about 45cm of snow on the ground. Paul's knowledge was excellent and he increased the feeling of being there, by dropping us at the far end of the camp, near the furnaces and made us walk to the main building. Although I cannot imagine what it must have been like, you gained a real understanding of the horrors - we were fully insulated with thermals, coats, scarves and warm boots - a far cry from tattered pyjamas and bare feet.
We were not rushed in any way, it really was an individual trip, which a large coach group guided tour could not deliver.
Thanks Paul

I can’t say enough good things about ProToursCracow! My friend and I traveled to Poland last winter for the first time. We wanted to hire a tour company to visit Auschwitz/Birkenau, Wieliczka Salt Mine, and the Black Madonna. We decided to use ProToursCracow because it had great online reviews and affordable prices. We were not disappointed! Booking our trips was quick and easy. Once in Poland, Paul showed up on time and was so helpful. He entertained all of our questions, gave great recommendations, and even allowed us some extra time to browse the gift shops when we were running late. The service was professional, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a tour guide service. We can’t wait to go back to Krakow and use ProTours again!

Hi, I was in Krakow 2 weeks ago with 5 friends. We booked ProToursCracow.com and had an excellent service provided by Paul. We were delayed 4 hours going but he was at Airport on arrival and helped us go to a hostel to uplift keys for our apartment then conveyed us to same and assisted with keys etc. Second day he took us on the combined Auschwitz/Birkenau and salt Mine day trip and provided all information we required. Also took us to excellent restaurant near salt mine. We did a shooting trip the following day and again everything was good. All prices were very reasonable and the trips much cheaper than others.
Very good clean VW vehicle.
